Seven Daytona Beach food businesses passed state licensing inspections in September 2026, from White Castle on LPGA Boulevard to Rustic Dough Works.

Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. Rebuilt each month. This roundup comes from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s public District 4 food service inspection file, downloaded Oct. 3, 2026. Send us an opening or a ribbon cutting through the newsroom contact form.

Every new restaurant, snack stand and other food service business in Florida must pass a state licensing inspection before it gets its food service license. Florida law says a license cannot be transferred from one place or owner to another, so a licensing inspection marks either a new business or new owners. That makes it the most complete public record of food openings in Daytona Beach.

September 2026

Seven Daytona Beach food businesses had licensing inspections in September:

Date Business Address
Sept. 3 White Castle 1944 LPGA Blvd.
Sept. 9 Saki Endless Sushi and Hibachi 2200 W. International Speedway Blvd., Unit 1A

For a business that was already open, such as a water park or an aquarium, a licensing inspection reflects a new food service license there, not a new attraction.

What this list does not cover

Stores, offices and services that do not sell food do not need a state food service license, so they are not in this file. The city issues business tax receipts through Permits & Licensing, and new corporations and LLCs register with the Florida Division of Corporations. We add those openings when the business or the city announces them.

Opening a business in Daytona Beach

Before signing a lease, check that the property is zoned for your use: the city publishes location requirements for new businesses and can issue a zoning verification letter. Applications and payments go through the city’s iMS online portal. Our building permits and zoning guide covers the rest.

What this means for you

  • International Speedway Boulevard had the most new food licenses this summer.
  • A licensing inspection can mean new owners, not only a new restaurant.
  • Opening something? Tell us at the newsroom and we will include it next month.
