Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. Facts on this page come from the City of Daytona Beach Getting Here page, Votran, Daytona Beach International Airport and Volusia County. For this week’s closures, see road construction and closures.
Two interstates meet at Daytona Beach: I-95 north to Jacksonville and south to Miami, and I-4 west to Orlando and Tampa. The city’s main east-west road is U.S. 92, International Speedway Boulevard, which runs from the interstates past the airport and the speedway to the beach. U.S. 1 (Ridgewood Avenue) and A1A (Atlantic Avenue) run north-south on the mainland and the beachside.

During a declared evacuation, all Votran bus stops become assembly points for free rides to public shelters, according to the city.
By air
Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) sits just off International Speedway Boulevard across from Volusia Mall, about a mile from the I-4 and I-95 interchange, according to its directions page. The address is 700 Catalina Drive. The airport lists daily nonstop flights to Atlanta on Delta Air Lines and to Charlotte on American Airlines, plus twice-weekly flights on Avelo Airlines, including New Haven, Connecticut, and Wilmington, Delaware, and on Breeze Airways.
Bikes and walking
The Sweetheart Trail, Daytona Beach’s section of the East Coast Greenway, is a traffic-free path along the Halifax River downtown, from Sickler Park under the Seabreeze Bridge south along Beach Street toward Beville Road. See our parks and trails guide. New sidewalks, shared-use paths and crosswalks are part of FDOT’s work on A1A, Mason Avenue, U.S. 1 and Clyde Morris Boulevard.
Parking
On the beach. Volusia County, not the city, runs beach driving and its off-beach parking lots. Volusia County waived beach driving and county off-beach parking fees for county residents, who must register their vehicle with the free ParkVolusia program before driving on the beach or parking in a county lot with license plate readers. Visitors pay daily fees at a ramp booth or lot, according to the county’s beach driving and parking page. The resident permit does not cover the inlet parks.
Downtown and the beachside. We could not find a city page that lists downtown deck rates, time limits or enforcement hours. Follow the posted signs; the Daytona Beach Police Department’s Traffic Unit enforces city and state parking rules. For downtown events, the Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach say free parking is available behind the shops on Beach Street.
